Regular Cleaning:

Immediate Spill Cleanup:

  • Wipe up spills promptly to prevent staining or potential damage to the flooring.
    Use a soft cloth or paper towel to absorb liquids, and gently clean the area with a vinyl floor cleaner if necessary.
    Avoid Excessive Moisture:

Vinyl flooring is moisture-resistant, but it’s still essential to minimize exposure to excessive water or prolonged dampness.
Place mats or rugs near entryways and high-traffic areas to trap moisture and prevent it from reaching the vinyl floors.
Protection from Scratches:

  • Place protective felt pads on furniture legs to prevent scratches when moving or rearranging furniture.
    Avoid dragging heavy objects or sharp items across the floor, as they can potentially scratch the surface.
    Use Protective Mats:

Place mats or rugs in areas prone to high traffic or where spills are more likely to occur, such as in front of the kitchen sink or near pet bowls. These mats will help prevent wear and tear on the vinyl flooring.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals:

  • Harsh chemicals, such as bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, can damage vinyl flooring. Stick to mild, pH-neutral cleaners specifically formulated for vinyl floors.
    Prevent Sun Damage:

Luxury Vinyl flooring is considered a floating floor. This means it can be installed directly over any flat surface. Including concrete, hardwood floor, or tile! As long as your floor is level, vinyl can be installed directly over it, no underlayment required!

No, they are not! Linoleum and vinyl flooring are made of different materials and are manufactured differently. Vinyl flooring is made in layers that are pressed together. There is a backing, core, vinyl layer, and wear layer on a vinyl floor. A linoleum floor is just one big sheet!

Nope! Linoleum flooring is made in large sheets, but vinyl is made into planks or tiles. These pieces lock together using a special click system that is unique to vinyl flooring. This gives your floor a more realistic wood or tile look, as you can actually see the individual pieces!
